Help with troubleshooting a cross domain tracking installation

Hello GA Gurus. I am desperately in need of some help. I have installed cross domain tracking on a wordpress multisite installation. The correct code appears to be on the 3rd party booking site, and I used the Monster Insight plugin to install the custom code for the cross domain tracking on the primary domain. I then created a goal for tracking the final page in the 3rd party booking site as the destination goal conversion.

Problem is it is not working and i have NO IDEA why. I am happy to pay someone for an hour of two of their time to look at it, but everyone I have asked so far is as stumped as I am.

This is the code on primary domain:

<script type="text/javascript">
(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','__gaTracker');

__gaTracker('create', 'UA-83194249-1', 'auto', {'allowLinker': true});
__gaTracker('set', 'forceSSL', true);
__gaTracker('require', 'linker');
__gaTracker('linker:autoLink', ['nightsbridge.co.za'] );
__gaTracker('require', 'displayfeatures');
__gaTracker('require', 'linkid', 'linkid.js');
__gaTracker('send','pageview');

</script>

This is code on secondary domain

<script>

(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){ (i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o), m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m) })(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');

ga('create', 'UA-83194249-1', 'auto', {'allowLinker': true});

ga('require', 'linker');

ga('linker:autoLink', ['rhinoridge.co.za'] );

ga('send', 'pageview');

</script>

This is the URL I want to track as a goal:

http://www.nightsbridge.co.za/book?action=3&bbid=18072&_ga=1.177557479.35205442.1453832150

And I have entered the goal as being a Destination Begins with /book?action=3&bbid=18072

Can anyone see anything in there that is not correct?

Hi,

I checked the sites and I found that the pages are tracked like:

/bridge/book?bbid=18072

You can check under Behaviour -> Site Content -> All pages.

Please try to set the above path as the goal destination.

Let me know if it works.

Cross domain tracking is working properly.

Hi Arnold

You are right, it is tracking the pages. My solution was more lo-tech than that. The developers of the 3rd party site only installed the tracking code on the first page, and not any of the subsequent pages that a user is taken to. So my goal is not being tracked because there is no code on that page Smiley Happy
