Hello, I have a problem implementing Google Analytics code into my Chrome extension. Can anyone tell me how to implement it so that it shows extensions active time, and not only when someone opens the extension?

Hi Nemanja
I did a similar thing when I tracked our extension:
I would look to use measurement protocol : https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/protocol/v1/parameters

to track the extension. It gives you very granular control when you can start and finish a session. See the documentation I shared above.
also use the user id to help you establish user tracking which will give you even more info

Cheers
