Google Analytics and Universal Analytics data not matching

We are in the process of transitioning our site from classic to universal. We are currently running them side by side to validate prior to transitioning fully to universal. When looking at the data, our e-Commerce figures are quite a bit off and we are trying to understand what would be causing this. There does not seem to be an apparent pattern. We have implemented using tag manager and have also included a data layer on our confirmation pages. We have quite a few confirmation pages and they cross platforms. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Hi Michele,

these differences can usually be attributed to:
1. Errors in implementation (dataLayer, tags in GTM)
2. GA Property / views set up (time zone, reporting delay, filters ...)

Without seeing the actual implementation it is just a guessing game, unfortunately.
