Google Analytics & Jsession id

Hello

Unsure if this is the correct place within the forums, sorry if it's not.

In one of our websites, there's a certain "application" which adds a jsession id.

But then i was wondering.. when you add a jsession id and there's Google Analytics on the website.. Anyone has an idea how the two work together?

I know jsession ids are bad but i'm trying to make a list on why we need to get rid of them. But unfortunately i'm not a techy (yet, i'm learning) so these concepts are hard to understand.

Does GA ignore the jession id? Does it polute or data in GA? ...

Thanks in advance!

Trying to get more technical insight in the jsession id vs google analytics!

Sidenote: if you have more reasons why to stop with the jsession id, all the help is welcome.

You'll want to go to Admin>> View Settings and exclude them.

Rens,

Is the session id passed to the URI?  or just cookied?  If it's in the URI it may pollute your content pages unless it's been added as a parameter exclusion in the view settings.

Oh it's definitely passed with the URL.

I can see the jsession URL's in GA. But other than that, there's no real connection between the two?
