Google AMP - Roll up report

Hi,

Currently we have the standard page tracking code up on our sites

<amp-analytics type="googleanalytics" id="analytics1">
<script type="application/json">
{

"vars": {

"account": "UA-XXXXX-Y"

},

"triggers": {

"trackPageview": {

"on": "visible",

"request": "pageview"

}

}
}
</script>
</amp-analytics>

We are looking to get a roll up report if possible. How can it be set up so that we can see it? I don't see anything about it in the documentation. Would appreciate some insight on this.

Thank you.

Assuming you created a GA property for each site and another property for roll-up, try using double AMP tagging: one tag for the site and another for the rollup. I'd use different id parameters for each AMP snippet.

Of course you can use Google Tag Manager to make life easier Smiley Very Happy

We currently see analytics for each individual site, but now we also want to be able to view all the market's AMP analytics in one report.

Thank you for the quick replies! When you say GA property do you mean the tracking ID? If so, we do have one for each site. However we do not have a property for roll-up. How can we set one up? Also do you have an example of how it would look code-wise?

Edit:

Ohh, I think I see what you're saying. Create a new separate amp-analytics tag specifically for roll-up that uses 1 tracking ID for all the sites. Is this correct?

So it'd be like:

// Regular Page Tracking
<amp-analytics
type="googleanalytics" id="analytics1">
<script type="application/json">
{

"vars": {

"account": "UA-XXXXX-Y"

},

"triggers": {

"trackPageview": {

"on": "visible",

"request": "pageview"

}

}
}
</script>
</amp-analytics>

// Roll-up
<amp-analytics
type="googleanalytics" id="analytics1">
<script type="application/json">
{

"vars": {

"account": "UA-something-unique"

},

"triggers": {

"trackPageview": {

"on": "visible",

"request": "pageview"

}

}
}
</script>
</amp-analytics>

right, except where it says id="analytics1" i'd use, say, id="analytics2" for the second tag

Can the id be renamed to whatever I want? For example the regular page tracker would have id="site-name-here" and then the roll-up one would have id="roll-up".

sure, go crazy :-)

you'll need to create another property for the second tag so go to Admin and find the Property drop-down menu. At the bottom of menu, locate Create new property. That will give you a new tracking ID you'll use for the second snippet.
