GA code to Wordpress site?

Hello,

I have installed GA code for several of my sites:

kgsid.com

kgsid.com/bg

kgcargo-bg.com

kgcargo-bg.com/bg

All are under different GA codes.

However I suspect that I have made a wrong installation and the data which I receive is not correct. please advise how can I improve this.

Where actually should I put the GA code - on each post I would like to track or only in the main Wordpress page?

Also sites kgsid.com and kgsid.com/bg are old ones but have good amount of links and I do not want to miss them. What is needed to be done in order to have the traffic for this site to be re-directed as follow:

kgsid.com => kgcargo-bg.com

kgsid.com/bg => kgcargo-bg.com/bg

Without having my website punished

Best regards

Georgi

Hi Georgi,

You can add Google Analytics to your WP site using a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/pc-google-analytics/

In order to redirect your old sites to the new ones you need to set up a 301 redirect in the htaccess file on the old sites. http://301redirects.net/redirect-old-domain-to-new-website.php

Let me know if you have questions.
