GA Tracking Code installed on template - still not tracking

Have recently today re-installed tracking code at 1944 on template, after having installed it years ago. But visited analytics to find there was no tracking of the site. There is another "analytics" notation at 648, I'm wondering if this is causing the problem with tracking.

My website is knitnscribble.com

If someone could take a look, I would be very grateful.

Hi :-)
tracking code should not be installed using both methods, only one of those methods should be used.
Either in the html template or via the blogger settings.
If you install it in the template and change template etc at any stage then you may have to reinstall it.
If you use the settings method.. then this wont happen if you make template/theme changes etc.

Hi :-)
What method have you used for installing the tracking code? The Blogger Settings method where you just put the Property ID into the provided setting field in blogger? Does UA-16038820-3 match the GA Property ID in your GA Account?

Hi :-)
You have added the tracking code snippet to the html template - is that correct?
It should be installed before the closing </head> tag.. not towards the bottom of the template

(yours will have a different UA# in the code)

blogger-tracking
Also once that is done Change the Mobile template from Default to Custom by clicking the gear icon below the Mobile preview

live-on-blog

Select radio button for Yes. Show mobile template on mobile devices.
then Select Custom from the Choose Mobile Template drop menu,

change-mobile-template-default-custom
Once that is all done, it can take up to 24-48hrs for the tracking to start working

and showing in reports.
