Event Tracking Code Problem

Hello, community!

I am trying to collect even tracking data on a series of tabs and subsequent buttons underneath each tab. The tabs just take you to a new item within the page and the buttons take you to a third-party site. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong with the following code?

<a href="#tabs-2" class='unselected INQ-tab_UC' onclick="ga('send', 'event', 'Tab', 'click', 'Urgent Care - MIL');" onmouseover..."

Hi Scott,

Your event tracking code is OK, did you try to check your site using Google Tag Assistant?

Strangely, Tag Assistant shows two Tag Analysis. One is blue and the other red. Both are from the same GA account (but there are two different accounts in the back end of the code). The one error says "missing analytics.js script," but this page has been collecting data for months.

If you could share your site URL I'd be glad to look into it for you.

The developer got it to work. It was kicking back a javascript error, but he did something to make it stop and now it's working.

Hi,

In future:

You can easily debug on the website with GA debugger:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/jnkmfdileelhofjcijamephohjechhna

You can check in chrome, console tab with 'Preserve log' turned ON.

Best Regards,
