Enhanced Ecommerce Product Quantity

Hello,

In documentations; google analytics accepts quantity for product data as number. (e.g. 2). But what if I sell products in uncountable item units and want to track quantity also? There is no "unit" field on product tracking. For example how can I track 2,2 kilograms (or 0,5 kilograms maybe) of tomato, and 2 gums (yes only two of gums) in a same analytic source? Is there a solution for this?

Thanks.

In your case, you need both a custom metric in currency/decimal format containing the amount and a custom dimension that contains the unit.

Then use a custom report showing both fields Smiley Happy

Hello Julien,

Thanks for your answer. But I think there should be a solution in enhanced ecommerce specification. What if we do something like this:

For example, 2,2 kilograms tomato is 22 dollars. Should I send this like quantity:2200 price: 0.01 ? Is it correct?

hello,

if every product on the website can be measured with the same unit (ex: grams) it's ok to do as you suggest (quantity:2200 price: 0.01)
