Email Tracking Code gets broken on some email marketing platforms

I'm trying to use a similar code on an email campaign to be able to track open rates and locations. However  I'm having some issues with some email marketing platforms that I'm trying to send the email.

<img width="0" height="0" style="background-color:red;display:none; font-size:0; line-height:0; mso-hide: all;max-height: 0; max-width: 0; width:0;" src="http://www.google-analytics.com/collect?v=1&tid=UA-12345678-1&cid=CLIENT_ID_NUMBER&t=event&ec=email&ea=open&el=recipient_id&cs=newsletter&cm=email&cn=Campaign_Name">

The problem is the platforms tries to grab the source of image file and locally host it. Since it there is no file extension on the image like .png or .jpg it cannot located the image and replaces image with a small question mark image indicating that image is missing.

Is there  a way to prevent this issue, may be another way to implement to code or a workaround?

There is no workaround - the tracking pixel cannot have an extension. Have you contacted the email marketing platform company?
