Doubleclick cookie - Where did it come from?

Hi everyone,

I have found a third-party (doubleclick) cookie in my website's source code. I want to know how it got there. I have been googling for the last couple of hours but still don't have an answer.

Here are some more specific questions:

1. Might this have something to do with Google Analytics?

2. If so, is a doubleclick tracking cookie part of the standard or universal Google Analytics code?

3. I recently linked my Google Analytics account with my Adwords account (from within Adwords). Might the code for the doubleclick tracking cookie have been inserted then?

Thank you!
