Double GA tracking code using Yoast Google Analytics plug-in

I have recently installed Google Tag Manager and I get a warning that there are 2 instances of the GA tracking code. Apparently the plug-in has initialized the tracking code twice.

Is this normal ?

My main concern is that it will influence the GA reporting accuracy.

Has anybody else come across this issue ?

Thank you!

Hi Alex,

The tracking code added by the Yoast plugin appears twice in the source code and other resources are duplicated also. It seems that you have two instances of wp_head() in your Wordpress header template. Can you please check that?

Hi Alex,

Tracking the same property twice will mess up your stats - page views, bounce rate, time on page...
Most likely you are tracking the same property both using GTM and the Yoast plugin. If you can post your site URL we could help with debugging.

Sure thing. The link to the website is this - http://trendsonline.dk

I just need to mention that I haven't added any tags in GTM yet.
