Custom Site Search queries not showing up in Analytics

I have searched for a solution and am unable to find one. We recently set up Google Custom Site Search with the intent of analyzing the user queries. I set it up so that it is connected to GA and set the query parameter as q. I then put the CSE script and the GA script in the head tag of the website. The problem is that when I go to GA there isn't any search terms listed even though CSE is recording searches. What am I doing wrong? Here is our website library.nau.edu Any help is greatly appreciated.

On the site if we search, it doesn't add a query param q to the url.

Hi Thersa,

Query parameter is one way to setup site search tracking, If your browser doesn’t support query parameters you can setup virtual pageviews. Below link explains both methods in detail. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1012264?hl=en
