Cross-domain tracking for pop up and main site using Google Analytics?

Hi

I have some questions on tracking popup and main site together with cross-domain tracking.

The site is this: solorganix.com

If you stay on homepage for like 2 - 3 seconds, you will see a popup to sign up for a newsletter.

And when you fill in info, the popup will track signup with event tracking and report the conversion.

My question is how to make sure all newsletter sign ups are not coming from that popup URL and give me correct referral source?

I have tried adding in cross-domain tracking code in there but didn't seem to work. Please advise.

Hey,

Have you tried the below
https://support.optimonk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205990872-Integrate-with-Google-Analytics

Also you would need to add optimonk.com to your referral exclusion list

Another way you could do this is loading the iframe with its source appended with cross domain linker parameters

If my answer helped you let me know by giving a star.

Hi Noman,

Thanks for your answer.

Can you tell me a little bit more about loading the iframe with its source appended with cross domain linker parameters?

I have no coding experience so if you can show me some example on how to do so, it is appreciated.
