Cross-domain tracking between SSL and non-SSL

Hi,

I am using Universal GA and my main site use https:// protocol, so in GA configuration I have set https:// for my domain.

BUT my landing page's subdomain do not have SSL certificate so I use standard http://

Will cross domain tracking work properly in such situation? I've heard that the transition between non-SSL and SSL may create new session...

If you apply cross domain tracking it will pass the session information in URL as parameter(s) so should be ok

Hi,

yes and other steps described in

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/linker

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cross-domain

But basically, activate plugin and from GA settings Referral Exclusion list should include your own domain
