"Consolidation" time of the information

Both in UI and API I get different data if I consult the information when it's generated and if I consult the same information days later. I guess it is due because there is some "consolidation" time of the information. Does anyone know when the information is completely consolidated and won't change in subsequent consults?

If do you know the AdWords "consolidation" too would be great.

Thank you!

In free Google Analytics accounts, they state that 24 hours is required to get stable numbers (some processing may be delayed). More specifics are not made available. Some information is readily available, but other data gets modified or created by processing, like the users count or metrics based on the users count, as well as numbers coming from other systems like AdWords. Day-to-day times for processing vary, and tends to be longer for higher traffic sites.
