linking search console properties with analytics account

Hey guys,

I am a bit confused with linking my search console properties with my analytics account. Here is where I am right now...

When I log into Google webmaster, I have four search console properties:

http://www.domain.com

http://domain.com

https://www.domain.com

https://domain.com

However, only https://domain.com is linked to my analytics account. I am able to link the other ones to my analytics account, but when I do the existing linked domain becomes unlinked. So I can only link one domain at a time to my analytics account.

Do I need a separate Analytics Web Property for each domain even though the domains are technically the same? Or am I missing something here?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

I reckon they are all pointing to the same site e.g. same content.
So just take the one that you see in the search results when you look up your site... Most likely
https://www.domain.com

So just link this one to Google Analytics

If you see other versions live you should redirect them to above mentioned...

Hi,

I have a related problem. I've had a GA web property linked with a Search Console property. Due a restructualisation of my GA account, I have my website managed in a new GA property and thus need to link it with the Search Console property that has been linked to the original GA property. So far, however, I have failed to do so. Any ideas where the problem might be? Do I have to delete the original Search Console property and create a new one?

Thanks for any help.

Jaroslav

What happens if you click the Link button in your Property settings and try to link your GA to SC?
If you are not collecting any data to your old GA property you could go and unlink it from there.
