changing View URL

We've recently done a switch in URL, as we changed our Company name. From "oldsite.com" to "newsite.com" There was a transition time where the old URL still existed, but forwarded to our new domain.

We went into G.A., and updated the property to be "newsite.com". Later, we created views to handle different versions of the site (other countries). When looking at one of these views, I see under 'View Settings' that 'Website's URL' says "oldsite.com" and I'd like to change that to "newsite.com" but I hoping I don't lose existing reporting. Will I?

thanks!

Hi @turpentyne s,

The Website URL in view settings is only used in content reports & in-page analytics.

Nothing will happen to your past data.

Thanks,
