changing URL but keep Analytics Data

Our association has different URL's wich redirect to one URL with all the content. Now we want to move the content to a different URL (wich belongs to us and was a redirecting-URL till now).

This is no problem with our hosting service and neither with Wordpress but important to us is that we can keep the GA data, so we don't start from zero with all the traffic information.

Any advice what we will have to do?

Hi Ole,

Just continue to use the same Account and property and you will have no problem.

This assumes you are using Universal Analytics and have taken your tracking code from Admin>>Property Settings>> Tracking Code and are using the Auto declaration.

That said, because it's a new domain and a new cookie, you will see a spike in new visits and your attribution shares for your channels will change but all your data will be there.
