Tracking Stores Separately In GA?

Hello,

I have a store subdomain associated with my website and I was wondering how I should track that.

Do I need to set up a separate property for store.mysite.com & www.mysite.com?

Should I track everything as the same site regardless of URL?

What is the best way to track both sites using Google Tag manager?

The store represents the same customer experience - it's probably just a technical consideration that forces you to have it in a su-domain. I would strongly suggest that you use a single web property, and four views:

1) "raw/unfiltered" without any filters and no option that "destroys" or modify the data - think of it as your backup

2) "test" where you will do any tests you need before going to your real view

3) "prod" - where you have all the configs and filters set up

4) "users view" - if you can implement user-id tracking to get a better view of real people logging in
