Third-party widget including GA without mentioning it. Is that allowed?

Hi,

(Sorry if this is the wrong forum: there isn't an obviously right one.)

I've run into a widget for embedding in other websites that also pulls in Google Analytics. This is not mentioned anywhere on the originating site, nor in the widget itself.

Is this permitted by Google's German Terms of Service?

If not, how do I go about reporting them (if they don't stop doing it when I ask nicely)?

Thanks,

Dean

No entirely sure Dean, Maybe best to speak to a Google rep or Google support they have a number you should be able to call.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam,

Thanks very much for your answer. I have no idea how to contact Google, I'm afraid.

We don't use GA ourselves, which is why it's particularly annoying that a 3rd party is pulling it into our site.

Regards,
Dean
