Site changed from HTTP to HTTPS

I've made the changes in Webmaster Tools but not sure what to do with Analytics - I don't want to loose historical data.

Any suggestions on how to update?

Thanks!

Hi Bryan,

You'll not lose your historical data if you change your site from HTTP to HTTPS.

In order to compare traffic before and after the change, I would create an annotation in Google Analytics to state what date the change occured.

Another thing that you should do is to change the website's URL in the Property Settings and any Views to reflect HTTPS instead of HTTP. Keep in mind, it doesn't have an impact on data collection.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions.
