Security verification message on Google Analytics

Every time I log into my Google Analytics account the following message appears. I have done the verification numerous times. What am I doing that is inaccurate? Thanks

"Security Problem. Please try reloading the page. We cannot verify your account credentials. Please verify your account information then sign in again."

 FYI,

I did receive a warning message that my account for another of my websites will expire. I did not use that site but created a new one. Does that mean I need to create a new Google Analytics account?

Hi Susanne,

Are you certain that you have access to the GA account with the Google Account that you are currently logged-in with?

That is usually the cause. If for some reason you need to regain access and have complete control of the site you can follow these steps:

Hey Susanne,

When you go through that process they will tell you exactly what should be included. Basically you are going to open up notepad and add some text the effect of please give Edit access for account Ua-xxxxx-yy to someName@someDomain.com. Then you upload that file to your website.

Hi Theo,
Can you give me a more detailed example of someName@someDomain.com. My website is called www.Island Pet Portraits.com and created on Squarespace by me.
Also where is the root of the domains that I am requesting access for to be viewed by the Online Specialist as www.website.com/analytics.txt (FYI - the /analytics.txt link does not work) Do you have another one?
Thank you
Susanne
