Restricting user access to dashboard or custom reports

A number of people in my organization would like to have access to GA. However, only few people know how to interpret the data correctly. Therefore I prefer to analyze the data myself.

Is it possible to restrict access to pre-defined dashboards and custom reports of a specific data view?

Hi Mike,

Instead granting your team members direct account access, I'd like to advise you to create a new dashboard and when you are done with it, please find the Share > Email option where you can set email recipients and frequency. References are linked-to below.

Create and customize Dashboards

Share Dashboards / Send Dashboards via email

Best,

Thanks Lakatos.

Is there also a solution which enables users to click through the data without having full access?

Hi Mike,

Go to Admin in your GA, select the right Account, then User Management. When you add the email of a new user, you may want to check the Read @ Analyze drop-down menu item. I did not mention this option formerly because you said that only few people knew how to interpret the data correctly.

Best,
Lakatos
