Reports and real time data different

Hello,

our reports do not track conversions properly. There are no filters applied to the view. The real time reporting works properly - all the goal hits are being tracked but then not all of them get into reports so only part of the data is there. What can be the reason of it?

Best,

@Dominika C

Did you set up goals (not events) in Admin -> View ?

Events and Goals aren't the same.

Events: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033068?hl=en

Goald: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1012040?hl=en

Have fun, SH

Hi Seba,

yes, goals were set up, as I said - they get tracked but only partly. What I don't understand is why can I see them in real time - conversions - goal hits (last 30 mins) but then reports show just some of them.

Thanks,
D

Hi Dominika,

just two spontaneously ideas:

1. Time
It takes up to approximately 24 h to get the (goal) data in the reports view. Did your check your reports (the time period) by including the current day? It is possible that the goals are not up to date if you have the current day in your analysis. Sometimes you have to chose the period only up to yesterday to ensure you have all relevant data.

2. Segments
Are there any segments chosen/activated in your reports? Segments also may afflect your reports.

Bye

Nils
