Hi,

So... it's all changed everyone.... I keep on looking on a process to recover a lost Google Analytics account based on the UA-xxxxxxx id.  Everyones links are pointing towards self-help pages, which do not help or AdWords which I have just called via telephone and the AdWords team is outsourced and do not have access.

Is there anyway that I can find out the user account/email address, and password reset this based on a Google Analytics UA-xxxxxxxxx-x account id?

Thank you all for your help in advance,

Marc

Hey Marc,

All hope is not lost! Here is a simplified way to regain access to your account:

#1 Put a string of text in a text file. Replace {INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS}, {INSERT UA-ID}, and {INSERT DATE} with your information.

#2 Upload the text file to the root of the domain that you’re requesting access for. If your website url is www.example.com, you should be able to visit the text file via www.example.com/analytics.txt

#3 Contact a Google Analytics specialist via the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1011201?from=cuf

This should allow you to speak with someone at Google and they will help you unlock your account.

Let me know if this solves your problem!
