Move an existing Google Analytics Account to another email address

Hello Analytics gurus,

My organization used to have access to "Manage Users, Collaborate, and Read & Analyze to the All Web Site Data view" of a Google Analytics account set up by the previous owner of our domain, and we regularly received emails of website performance data. However, due to unknown reasons, we stopped receiving them, and since we are not the owner of the account, we cannot log in to manage. We would like to gain control of this Google Analytics account, would it be possible to move an existing analytics account to our own email address?

Hi :-)
Have you considered contacting the previous domain owner that setup the analytics account?

You could try an account recovery, however it wont necessarily get you ownership of the analytics account, but it may get you read/analyze access to the Property or View that you had access to previously.

There is a comprehensive post by Niall in the following thread on how to go about doing this (its the one marked as best answer)

Thanks
