I own my account and don't have permission to edit users!

Hello,

I called Google Support today and they couldn't help me with this.

I own my account, website, and domain. When I try to go to the User Management tab, it says "You do not have sufficient permissions to modify the users on this account."

How can I get permission to edit this tab and the whole account?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks,

EP

Hi Enrique :-)
Who initially created the Google Analytics account?

Hello!

I did. That's why it's so strange.

Any clues?

Enrique.

Might seem like a silly question.. was it created via the same google account/email login address that you are currently accessing it by?
Is there some way you may have altered any of the permissions etc at any stage - even unintentionally?
If it was a service offered and setup via say an old/previous hosting provider for instance. then you may not have admin access to the
GA account even though you created it.

Negative. I created it from my current email/login. What I did after that was to merge my Analytics Account from the site we purchased. We have tried to access with the other site's email and it doesn't work either.

Thanks for your help! Thoughts?

Sounds like you may have to try an account recovery.

There is a comprehensive post by Niall in the following thread on how to go about doing this
(its the one marked as best answer)
