Hello!

About 9 years a go we build a platform for army buddies and of course i added a UA code to track traffic.

In the meanwhile i lost track a bit of the site, but are planning to work on it soon.

The problem: I really have no idea which Analytics account we created 9 years ago :-(

The UA code is in the source-code, so that i know.  Is there any way i can identify the corresponding Analytics account???

Much obliged!

Sander

hi @sander s

1) Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tag-assistant-by-google/kejbdjndbnbjgmefkgdddjlbokphdefk?h...

2) Install it

3) go to your website

4) run the extension - if GA code is still there you should be able to easily see it

Hi,

Perhaps i am mistaken, but i think this only gives me the info that i already saw in the source code of the page.

I know the UA code (this is easy -> it's in the source code of the website)

The problem is:  In which Google Analytics account is this UA code?

Thanks!

Hi @sander s

If you have access to Google Analytics, log in to GA, go to "Home" tab, and in a search bar (top right corner) type in UA that you found in your code.

Hi,

That is exactly the problem:  I don't have acces. I don't know which Google Analytics account is connected to the UA code on my website.

Regards,

Sander

hi @sander s,

In that case probably it's best if you

1) go to https://support.google.com/analytics/

2) go to "contact us" (top right corner)

3) Request and email reply from a specialist

4) Select "Access issues"

5) Select "Forgot login address"

6) Go to Form, fill it out and Submit.

Hope it helped.

Seb
