Google analytics on website

Changed my website and assumed the analytics on the new website was Google. Just learned it is not and they will set it up for me, but asked for my account number and they will embed on my site. How do I obtain this information. Website URL has not changed.

Thanks,

Paul

Log in Google Analytics

If you can see your reporting view click Admin from the bottom left corner

from middle column PROPERTY click Property Settings

Tracking ID is most likely what they are after

Hi Paul :-)

I'm assuming the google analytics on your previous site was created via your own google account..

If you log into Google Analytics and Select the Admin link at the lower left of the left hand column nav, it will take you to the Analytics Administration page (if the column is not extended, you will just see the gear icon to click)
Select the relevant GA Account in the first column (ACCOUNT)

and then select the relevant Property in the middle column (PROPERTY)

and then select the Property Settings page below the drop down in middle column

Tracking ID/UA# is the first thing listed in Basic Settings at the top of the Property Settings page.

I would also add a annotations in your GA reports, with brief info as to when the tracking was readded to the

new website.
This is a good article explaining what annotations are and how to use them
