Google Analytics tracking of subdirectory

Hi,

I have a site xyz.com. All my site pages have the tracking data.

I now want to track a sub directory xyz.com/new/ as a separate entity in my Google Analytics account. So far, the only solution is to drill down using filters etc., to see relevant data. But it would be helpful for me to see it as a separate view, where I can gain insights into that particular site.

I tried looking for a solution but am getting conflicting advice. All help will be appreciated!

Thanks.

Create a new view, add an include filter. So data will be collected moving forward for particular directory.

  • Track activity in a specific directory
If you'd like to report solely on activity in a specific directory, you can set up an Include filter. Likewise, if you'd like to see data for all but one or several pages or directories, an Exclude filter will take care of it for you.

Thanks for the reply. So presumably, with the include filter, anything from xyz.com/new/1, xyz.com/new/2, etc., will be tracked separately?

Hi,

how do you set tracking of several subdirectories together like:

/example.com/en

/example.com/en/#module-264

/example.com/en/#module-80

I would like to track only this 3 subdirectories all together.

FILTERS>INCLUDE ONLY>TRAFFIC TO SUBDIRECTORIES>THAT END WITH

SUBDIRECTORY (I WOULD INLCUDE ALL 3) - what do I need to do?

/example.com/en

/example.com/en/#module-264

/example.com/en/#module-80

thx
