Flipping the Switch from HTTP to HTTPS Within Google Analytics - Historical Data Loss?

We will be redirecting all http pages of a site over to https version and switching the domain url of our GA property to https. Are we at risk for losing any historical data? Any other implications to be aware of?

Thank you.

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

You'll not lose your historical data. Here you can read more about that: https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Google-Analytics-Account-Access/Site-changed-from-HTTP-to-...

Hope this helps.

Taavi
