Can't access my google analytics account

Hi there,

I recently joined a new company, and last year they switched over their email accounts from Gmail to Outlook. This disrupted the access to Google Analytics, and now we have no way of logging into the analytics account.

I desperately need to regain access and can't find any contact place for Google. I just need to add our new email addresses, but obviously can't log into the old account to allow us access.

Please help!

Many thanks,
Christina

Hey Christina,

All hope is not lost! Here is a simplified way to regain access to your account:

#1 Put a string of text in a text file. Replace {INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS}, {INSERT UA-ID}, and {INSERT DATE} with your information.

#2 Upload the text file to the root of the domain that you’re requesting access for. If your website url is www.example.com, you should be able to visit the text file via www.example.com/analytics.txt

#3 Contact a Google Analytics specialist via the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1011201?from=cuf

This should allow you to speak with someone at Google and they will help you unlock your account.

Let me know if this solves your problem!
