An illegal state has occured

I just set up a GA account for our new web property, but anytime I try to click on any of the tabs this message pops up:

An illegal state has occurred.
The request resulted in an inappropriate state. Reload the page to see whether the problem persists.

I've tried opening the account in incognito and on Safari, but the same issue keeps happening. The only thing I can think of is that the URL I entered does not currently lead to an extant public website. Even so, I should be able to get a tracking code that we can send to the designer, right? Is there something else I can do to get a universal tracking code?

I am having the same problem. Just logged into Google analytics for the first time.

The same here. The other old account of mine doesn't have this issue. Different browsers won't help at all.

Is there anyone with a solution for this? Tried all the suggestions mentioned. Kind of hard making reports now!
