Adding multiple sites to Search Console

Hello,

I am having a website accessible via 2 links one with and one without the "www".

For example http://www.foobar.com and http://foobar.com The one of the two though

says that "This site is not linked to any web property in your Google Analytics account."

and when I try to add it I get a message telling me that "You are about to save a new

association. Any existing Search Console association for this web property will be removed."

Is there a way to track both of these sites?

Thanks.

Is it the same site e.g. same content?

Yes, whichever of the two URLs you type in, you will see the same web page.

We recommend creating a separate Search Console property for each domain or folder that you want to track separately.

You can link only one search console to one GA property. Because both of them are actually the same website you don't need to link both of them. Just keep the one linked that you have, you get the same information to your GA reports.

OK Antti thanks, that seem the best one. Although I couldn't clarify if the www version will show the same results as the non-www version.

if you go to Search Console you will see all the versions you verified. you can compare there for example the Search Analytics report.

I can't remember if they share the same stats or will it show numbers just for the "live" version https://www.domain.com

If the numbers are different I would investigate why foeär example https://domain.com would get impressions in SERP since ideal state would be that the live version would get all impressions and all traffic. This is also important if you want to succeed in your SEO.
