I got 3 banner ads of size

300x250
300x60 (YouTube InStream companion only)
300x600 (Zagat only)

Now, while uploading, it is not accepting 300X60 size banner saying- Wrong dimensions .

Need you help & opinion if I ma making any mistake.

Also, what is this - Zagat ?

Thanks

Hello Anil,

The 300 x 60 size is for video ads, not a normal display campaign.

Zagat.com is a restaurant review website owned by google , it is a google property just like youtube so it can have ads on it but I never tried it as a managed placement.

Thanks Adrian,
So, where I can use 300*60 ?
Does Video campaign allow to add this banner? If yes, then where I can add it?

Thanks

The companion banner is setup when you setup a true-view in-stream video ad. The way it works is like this :

The person gets served your video ad and at the same time to the right of the video ad they can see the banner so when the video ad is finished or during it, they can also click on the companion banner to get to the Destination URL.

So you are basically running a video ad with the bonus option to get clicks on the "companion banner" .

More details here :

https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/2679940?hl=en

" Companion banner ads are not served on all YouTube pages where in-stream ads are served. Please note this when comparing video impressions with companion impressions."

From my Video Exam notes it's stated that: CLICKABLE THUMBNAIL IMAGES: these appear next to TrueView in-stream ads, although they are not guaranteed to appear next to every ad. The standard size is 300 x 60 pixels.

However a standard banner size supported by YouTube is supposed to be 300 x 250, although that's not in my review notes. 300x600 (Zagat only)
