Using Ads to put forward a new video (I'm not a company, I'm an artist)

Hi =)

Sorry for my bad english, I'm french !
I'm new to Google Ads stuff.

Can somebody can give me some advices ?

For my next music video, I want to do a little advertising for it.
Is that possible to :
- Only target people on YouTube ?
- Only put this advertising in "InDisplay" format, or directly propose to the users to click on the video(without playing it) ? In each case, can I choose the picture I want to show (before the user follow it) ?

What is the easiest way to do it ?

I don't know if I'm understandable ^^''
Thanks a lot !

Hi there,

Welcome to the Community!

Yes, it is possible to select only InDisplay ad format. You can uncheck the box next to InStream while creating a video ad. Screenshot here. To target people only on YouTube, you'll have to uncheck the 'Google Display Network' option under Settings > Networks. Speaking of Thumbnail, the system gives you four options to choose from, based on the content of the video. You'll find this in the ad creation page, which is partially visible in the screenshot.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
