Is Google/Youtube ignoring the little guy?

Hello,

 

We have run Adwords video ads for over three years with zero issues.  We have had over 250,000 ad views and zero complaints (and less than 10 thumbs down). 

 

On April 7th, Google Adwords stopped all their YouTube video ads due to complaints from major advertisers (Coca Cola, Walmart...etc) after a report revealed that ad spots were showing up next to videos from white supremacist and other inappropriate content. 

 

We called Adwords to ask about when our video ads would re-run, and we were given the standard answer (we are improving things and will get them running as soon as the new review process is done).  This was five weeks ago. 

 

Recently, we noted that big companies (such as Wix.com and others) have their ads back and running on Youtube.  Our ads were not.  We called Google Adwords only to get the same standard answer (basically the rep was reading a script off the screen that was designed to give no information).

 

Why is Google Adwords ignoring (discriminating against) the small (and long time loyal) advertisers?  If the review process was good enough for big advertisers, it should allow all ads to run again on youtube.  We deserve better service, and more honest answers.  

 

Please help with some specific clarification?

Hi,

 

The Auction Display ads and Reservation Sponsorship ads are slated to return mid to late May 2017, and the TrueView Discovery ads on YouTube Search are slated to return mid to late June 2017. These times are subject to change, if needed, but the team is working on everything as quickly as possible.

 

Also, advertisers will likely be brought back in in phases, not all at once, so remain patient while the work is completed.
