gclid parameter

Hi,

I have customer who has a issue which he mailed me like this:

The Ad Destination URL http://www.domain.com/something/something  from the AdWords account xx.xx has accrued a significant number of clicks but a lower-than-expected number of sessions from mobile clients because the page is dropping or altering the gclid parameter inserted by Google. Check the web server's redirect logic or its use of a URL rewrite engine to ensure the gclid parameter is preserved.

His domain is hosted in Windows IIS. I have searched for this similar issue and found a link here:

https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/Tracking-Reporting/Invalid-AdWords-gclid/m-p/386331#M14231

However I would like to know where in server side (IIS) I could start checking for this "web-server is stripping it off" ?

Any help or guide is appreciated.

Here's the update from the specialist:

This issue needs to be resolved with your server provider/web developer.

Are you using any third party technologies for mobile sites? I had a similar issue with a clients site who uses DudaMobile for their mobile website. Its causing a couple issues, first the gclid, and also self referrals. The following link and linked script was supposed to fix the self referrals, but I think just addressed the gclid. I no longer see that warning in Analytics, that shows resolved in the alerts, but I do still see the self referral one in Analytics...

If your using Duda Mobile, switching to this should make the gclid issue go away. Its the only site I have ever seen that issue and the self referral on so pretty sure it is specific to something Duda Mobile is doing.
