They write:
you can add a ValueTrack tag to your keyword's or ad's tracking destination URL to see whether a click is coming from the experiment or control split.

you can find your experiment and control IDs for your experiment in the My Change History tool. These will be the same IDs that are referred to in your ValueTrack tag.

They say I can see the ID in the Change History. But I do not see it there. Where can I find these ID´s now?

Hi Elja,

I'm not sure how this would look in the Change History.

Can you see if the IDs would appear in the Destination URL report in the Dimensions tab?

Thanks for answering Coco,

It is not important for me in a practical sense, at least not at this moment.
But I am learning for the test, And then I read you can find this in change history.
And then I try to look, at it.

And than I think, maybe this text in the help pages is wrong. Maybe something has changed. Or they told it in one of the video´s that are on these pages.
And that is the reason why i put this question here.  Maybe they have to change the text.

And now I am searching for the page but cannot find it any more.

Remark about change history It is in my notes I took.
And my notes are from GCP Help.
Maybe the did change the text in the time between I took notes, some 2 weeks ago and now. Or they tell it in one of these video´s.

Hi Elja,

I wish I had an active experiment in my personal account to be able to verify how the IDs appear and where they appear. The article you linked to definitely says it should be found within the Change History.

I'm going to pass along your information to one of our specialists so they can take a look at the account and direct you to the right spot to find these IDs. They'll reach out via email.

Once they get back to you, please post on here where the IDs can be found, if it's not in the Change History. I'm curious too!

It obsessed me for a while but finally I found an account and a period where I could track it down.

In my change history I can see this: Campaign experiment created (Experiment ID = xxxx, Control ID = 0). I wonder if the control ID is always 0, it would make things much easier to track.

I also cannot find experiment changes or ID in the change history even if I set :

Change types = All , Changed by = All users

I have chosen the day of the experiment, the day after, then browsed through all the pages searching for the word experiment, nothing came up.

I also found this message stating in 2011 that there is no report to extract the ID from :

There is also this previous thread on this topic :
