We Have 501c3 Status, But Are Not in the IRS's Online Database Yet

Hello,

We have been approved as a 501c3 organization by the IRS; I have our determination letter in hand.

However, we are not currently in the IRS's electronic database (yet?), so Google Ad Grants rejected our application.

This situation is pretty common, and also occurred when we applied to GuideStar, but they have a process where you can send in your IRS determination letter as an alternative way to obtain account approval.

I have looked for a similar option on Google Ad Grants, but don't see anything.  Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to inquire directly about this possibility.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a way to resolve it so that we can take advantage of this wonderful Google Ad Grants program?

Any help is greatly appreciated.  THANK YOU.

Very Respectfully,

Josh Brooks

Hi Josh,

Welcome to the AdWords Community. Thanks for posting your first question here. I will email you so you can send me the determination letter and then I will have a Grants specialist look into it and take a call.

Sounds good? Stay tuned,
Mini

Thank you Google AdWords Team. I sent our determination letter in, it was approved, and we are now part of the AdGrants program.

THANK YOU again.

Our 501(c)(3) is not in IRS database but I do have the Letter of Determination. I have not applied with Google yet but I would love to and yet it makes no sense to do and being rejected. How do I go about this?
Thank you, Michael (I don't know if it is appropriate to post my URL here...?)
