We started Google Adwords Grant for a smaller division of a larger nonprofit. They use the same Tax ID. The campaign is going well and now the larger organization wants to use google adwords grant.

Would the org need to get a 2nd tax ID in order to gain access to the Adwords Grant for the larger org?

If so, of the two, it would make more sense for the smaller org to get a new Tax ID. How would that work? We’d need to contact google, let them now we have a new Tax ID. Have them change that so then the original Tax ID is unattached to a Adwords Grants then we apply as the larger org?

This is from Google for NonProfits page:

We only allow one membership per organization. However, branches of umbrella organizations that share Employee Identification Numbers (EINs) with their parent organizations are eligible for individual memberships. Branches must indicate that they are applying as a "related organization" during the application process and go through additional screening. (http://www.google.com/nonprofits/join/)

Any chance this applies to the Adwords Grants?

Hi,

Is your nonprofit like a local chapter of the overall organization? If so to make it easier the larger nonprofit can just apply as a related organization at the Google for Nonprofits program and then get their own Google Ad Grant.
