Seeking Ad Grants to overcome the catastrophe caused by Ebola Virus

Ariane,

I'm writing this as an Internet Marketing Service Provider on behalf of the President of the Government of Liberia.

As you must be aware, Liberia has been affected by Ebola virus, kiling over 1000, and with much worse to follow if timely action is not taken. Liberia, which is one of the poorest West African countries, is in dire need of donations from the world over to overcome this crisis.

If a Liberian Charity applies for Ad Grants to put out ads seeking donations worldwide, esp US, can you please fast track and give approval very quickly? And can you offer more Ad Grants than you normally provide, as this is a unique situation, requiring worldwide support to Liberia. We're offering our services to Liberia free of any charges.

We'll provide all proof of credentials about us and the NGO that you may want, incl a letter from President of Liberia.

Thanks,

Ganesan. :~)

The Ebola situation in Liberia is certainly tragic. Of that, there is no doubt.

Know that while Google would love to expand the program to every country around the globe, there are certain hurdles that often prevent them from doing so and the process for launching the program is more challenging than one might think. That does not mean that the desire to do so is not that there.

I have made sure that the Ad Grants team is aware of your request.

Thanks,

I remember to have read somewhere (I can't locate now) that those from other countries can Click a link and post their requirement there.

All rules are made by people for the good of people. If there ever was a reason to make an exception to any rule, this is one. I'm talking about one of the poorest countries of the world, Liberia, losing 1000+ people to a fast-spreading virus, Ebola, an WHO says the virus is spreading “exponentially”. Liberia has been shut down for more than a month, and the national economy is shattered. It threatens to wreck an even more massive havoc worldwide, unless controlled soon. And the world has neither understood nor responded to this human tragedy in the making. Please Google Search for Liberia and Ebola, or still better, subscribe to Google Alerts and you'll know. Won't Google still make no exception?

Thank you so much. If required, I can get the Govt to certify the request. Incidentally, the President of Liberia Ms. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was a Nobel Peace Prize Winner in 2011 for "her non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work". She's trying to build this young democracy after many years of civil war.
