Hi Kryssa,
The first step for 501(C)(3)s is to sign up for Google For Nonprofits (G4NP) at http://www.google.com/nonprofits/ - once you are approved in the G4NP program, then you simply enroll in Google Ad Grants. Is it G4NP that you are being denied for or are you already in the G4NP program?

Some 501(C)(3)s are ineligible for the program, these include:
Governmental entities and organizations;
Hospitals and health care organizations;
Schools, childcare centers, academic institutions, and universities

A few other NTEE codes are also ineligible. If you know your NTEE code, let me know what it is and I can let you know if it is eligible or not.

Lastly, did you receive an email an email stating you were denied and if so, what reason did it give?

866-2-Google...

It needs to be updated in this online directory too... http://www2.guidestar.org/

Here is googles text, "Note that it can take some time from when your organization receives your IRS notification of this status until your EIN appears and is updated in the online database. To be considered for the Google for Nonprofits program, your tax status must first be updated in the online database; copies of IRS letters are not sufficient for this requirement."

http://www.google.com/grants/eligibility.html

There are other requirements for Google grants like having a website with substantial content... read through the eligibility link above.
