Does a non-profit listed on Schedule O of 990 form qualify for a Google Grant?

Hello,

Is a non-profit organization that is listed on Schedule O of a 990 form eligible for a Google Grant? The non-profit is very small, which is why they haven't gotten 501c status (not worth the money in legal fees).

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Caitlin.

I'm not with Google, but we are a Google Grantspro recipient.  Two things...

One of the qualifiers is that you need to have a Tech Soup account. Having that account will vet you as a non-profit.
You need to be an IRS-recognized non-profit (501(c)(3) or whatever)

The Google Grant gives you a $10,000 monthly ad spend. Not only do you need to spend that amount monthly,
but you also need to hit quality requirements. Since you say this is a small non-profit, I'm wondering how you'll spend the monthly grant.

In our case, we hired a PPC agency to manage our account. And, our mission is expressed through a 4,000 page website, which makes the spend do-able, since we're promoting our content.
