Once an organization is approved for Google Ad Grants, can you then link the account with Google Merchant Center and run product listing ads?

Hi Brian,
Welcome to the community and thanks for your question.

At this time, Ad Grant accounts cannot link with Google Merchant Center and run product listing ads. Ad Grant account may only run text ads on Google Search.

Robert - I'm curious about product-focused keywords and ad copy. I've heard that anything related to selling actual products on a non-profit is hard to get approved, even if the non-profit in question has "100% of their proceeds going back into the non-profit". Is this true? Any tips for setting up keywords and ad copy specific to product that will get approved?

@Event N

The key for an Ad Grant account is that the ads and keywords need to be mission-based. This includes product related ads. Admittedly, what is considered "mission-based" can be a bit different from organization to organization based on the different missions of the different organizations. Google knows this and takes this into account when reviewing the ads. Additionally, any efforts to abuse the policy are quickly addressed.

The policy on mission-based campaigns can be found here: https://support.google.com/grants/answer/4410314?hl=en
