Affiliate programs

Our website does participate in the Amazon Affiliates program. We have text-only links to a few products on 3 or 4 (out of hundreds) of our pages. No banner ads, as our site doesn't have any advertising. These links appear within articles. The revenue from these has been small ($20-30 month), but we have been doing it for years. Would having these links make us ineligible for Google AdGrants? In all other ways, it appears we would qualify.

Hi Margaret G,

Welcome to the community. Google Ad Grants recipients cannot host affiliate advertising links on their website.

Here is the full policy regarding AdSense ads and other banner ads.

I would not let that stop you from participating in Ad Grants. Instead, I would simply remove the affiliate links you have. After all, $10,000 a month in free advertising can do a lot more for your organization than $20-$30 a month in affiliate commissions.

All the best,
