Global Live Panel with International Markets Specialists from Around the World

In July we had the pleasure and rare opportunity to bring together internationalization specialists: Eugenia Figueroa, Joana De Lucas, Ana Rocha, and Elodie Benoist who represent the Americas, EMEA, LATAM and APAC, all in the same room to have a live panel hosted by International Specialist from the America’s: John Senyard.

 

During this panel, these representatives discussed topics ranging from typical consumer habits, device trends, the mobile marketplace, connectivity speeds, online payments, travel and retail seasonality and some do and do nots of localization in these regions. Some of the key highlights were:

 

  • There's no such thing as a typical consumer across regions as well as within regions
  • Mobile is key across all markets. In LATAM and APAC, many users are accessing the internet through mobile first or even mobile only
  • To be a truly global business, it's important to find the right balance between scale and localization
