What are Seller Rating Extension?
Seller Ratings are a feature that provides visual information to users about advertisers who are highly rated for quality service. We gather seller ratings from reputable sources that aggregate business reviews. This information helps people make more informed browsing and purchasing decisions.
Why should I implement Seller Rating Extensions?
The first thing you need to know is you will automatically be opted into these extensions if you meet the criteria. This type of extension is best suited to online merchants, or businesses that sell products or services to consumers (e.g. travel sites, etc) who collect online reviews.
People on desktop and mobile browsers can click through to see the review of your business and verify the source and statements behind the ratings. You won't be charged for these clicks, but you're charged as usual for clicks on your ad (CPC).
If you are a business who provides a product or service, and you are not collecting online reviews, you may want to consider starting this! Advertisers who have used this have found up to a 17% increase in CTR!
What do Seller Rating Extensions look like?
Why are my Seller Rating Extensions not showing?
Seller Ratings will start to show if you meet the below criteria, so if you are not seeing this feature, first make sure that you are eligible:
- Your campaign type should be "Search Network with Display Select," "Search & Display Networks" or "Search Network only."
- The customer must be searching on Google.com, Google.co.uk, Google.co.nz, Google.com.au, Google.de, Google.co.jp, Google.fr, or Google.nl.
- In most cases, your business must have at least 30 unique reviews -- each from the past 12 months -- and a composite rating of at least 3.5 stars or higher. However, we may show ratings for merchants with fewer than 30 reviews if we have sufficient data from other sources to determine an accurate rating. At least 10 of these reviews must be in the customer's Google interface language.
- You don't need a Google Merchant Center account for your ads to be eligible for seller ratings.
It could just be the case that other extensions you have enabled are taking preference, or you may need to increase your bid or your ad quality (or both). You can read more about why Ad Extensions might not be showing here.
