Hi Community Members,

AdWords’ new Conversion Import feature lets you to measure when an online click ultimately leads to a sale in the offline world.

Here's a video we put together with the Product Manager for the new feature.

Importing offline conversion events gives you a more comprehensive look at which keywords and targeting criteria (ex. geography, time of day) drive the most cost-effective conversions. This data can help you better target and optimize your campaigns for increased profit. If you’d like to learn more about this feature, please see our Help Center article.

If you come across any issues while using this feature, we’re here to help. Just post your question on this thread, and one of our AdWords specialists will help.

Thank you!

Nice feature, thanks a lot for it!
Will there be a feature to update previously uploaded conversions?
Most of our customers have to handle cancellations and waiting 30 days before being able to upload the data cleaned from cancellations reduces the value of this cool feature a lot...

Hi Martin,

Great question. At this point, once you import conversion data, there's no way to go back in and edit it.

So for your case, you may want to find a sweet spot of a time frame that tells you if you got returns but still lets you glean insights about the conversions you're getting from AdWords.

Hope that helps!

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your thank for your feedback. Unfortunately we are not able to discuss any future product plans, but I'd be happy to pass your idea to the Product Management team.

Best,

100% Agree with Martin. Google are showing some signals of good will with this new feature. However this will be a game changer for advertiser only when advertisers would have the ability to update conversions which were previously uploaded or update conversion occurred online.

Thanks anyway.
We will all appreciate if you can add the option to update any gclid.

Are there plans to offer offline conversion importing via the API, and if so any ETA on that?

Hi Dave,

Not sure about that. You may want to ask our API team to see if there are known plans to incorporate this feature. Here's a link to the AdWords API forum: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/adwords-api

This is the most interesting feature
Makes a real revolution of campaigns optimization and real profits management

We've already done interface integration with our CRM (customer management system)
but
I have some questions

1. How we can be able to load data automatically in real time without doing manually import a file to conversions interface?
2. Is it possible to see these data in Google Analytic accounts if two if 2 jf them are linked

some facts :
+Our experience shows that it is takes 2-3 days until API server update imported offline conversions (too slow......)

+Also we noticed that if the sale was made several days after the actual conversion from a click on this website still lists the same date of lead conversion
So once conversion has been performed on-line on a gclid on 12 September (eg CMHG4vnGxrkCFfF2cAodrg4Awg the customer left contact form) then the following offline conversion was done on 14 September (real Sale ) originally caused that click will be recorded on the same date that r system knows that - gclid belongs to 12th September.
and of real Sale will be on 12th September! in AD WORDS segments interface
